On Feb. 13 Special Olympics Michigan completed an additional four of 19 Polar Plunges this winter. They were held in Traverse City at the Grand Traverse Resort & Spa, Cheboygan at Hoppies Bar & Grill, Belleville at the Moose Lodge and Fenton at the Fenton Moose Lodge.
Plungers came out dressed to impress and they sure did impress the judges! In Traverse City Bob Drinkow walked away with the Golden Plunger Award for the best costume. Bobby Babcock and his team won the Golden Plunger Award in Cheboygan.
The Polar Plunges would not have been such a huge success without people like Bobby Babcock who raised the most money for Cheboygan with $5,102! Paul Shirilla raised the most for Traverse City with $2,015. Kayla Trundle raised the most money for Fenton and Josh Holmes raised the most for Belleville. Special thanks to all our Sponsors:
